Inventory The Longest Transmission Distance Of VGA, DVI, HDMI, And DP Cables, It Is Easy To Choose A Cable(Part I)
In our daily work and entertainment, we cannot avoid contact with computers, TVs, projectors and other equipments, which are inseparable from various video output interfaces. Nowadays, there are all kinds of connecting cables on the market, and we are always confused about when and where to use which kind of cable. The most commonly used video cables on the market are: DVI, VGA, HDMI, DP, what is their limit transmission distance? Can a video cable be used for a transmission distance of 50m? These questions need to do enough homework before we choose the video cable. The following is an inventory for everyone, so that the friends can be better targeted when choosing the video cable. VGA cable The history of the VGA interface can be traced back to 1987. The blue plug is generally used, and it is also the most recognizable interface. The VGA interface has 3 rows of pins, 5 in each row, totaling 15 pins. Our childhood memories---Big head monitors use VGA ports. VGA Cable The VGA interface transmits analog signals with weak anti-interference ability and supports a maximum resolution of 1080P. The transmission distance of the 3+4/6 VGA cable is 15-30m. The oxygen-free copper VGA cable with thick conductor and good shielding can reach a transmission distance of 30m, and the inferior VGA cable over 15m will cause image quality problems such as smear and blur. Devices Supported DVI cable The maximum resolution that the DVI interface can support is 2560 x 1600, and the refresh rate is 60Hz, which is commendable for analog interfaces. To be clear, this standard cannot support too many color spaces. Like VGA, it can only transmit video signals but not audio signals. The DVI-I interface is a hybrid interface that integrates DVI-A and DVI-D. It is compatible with both DVI-D and DVI-A. It is currently the most compatible DVI interface. Depending on the cable quality, the longest transmission distance of the DVI cable is 7-15m, and the DVI cable with built-in signal amplifier can reach 30m stable transmission.
